Fairway Village Golf Club (FVGC)

The Fairway Village Golf club (FVGC) is a private and nonprofit organization for the use and pleasure of the residents of Fairway Village.

A Nine member Board of Directors conducts the affairs of the FVGC.  The President and Vice President of the Men’s and Ladies Leagues, along with five (5) members elected at large from the membership, make up the Board.  The elected members serve two (2) year terms.  Offices of the President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer are one (1) year terms.

A resident, including renters, becomes a member of the FVGC when they pay the annual fee as established by the Fairway Village Residents Association.  Presently, the annual fee is $305.  Daily fees are available for $9, but those residents are not members of FVGC.  There is a general meeting in November and an annual meeting in March for membership.

The FVGC Board conducts special events during the year: The first Saturday of the month is a five (5) person blind draw scramble; in January is the Fairway Village Open Tournament; in February is the Scotch Doubles Tournament (man and woman blind draw, alternate shot) followed by a Pizza Party in the clubhouse; and in April the Fairway Village Classic Tournament where the players with best low net and low gross scores from the three(3) classes from the Men’s and Ladies’ leagues are paired up.  The Men’s and Ladies’ leagues are handicap play within three (3) classes.  The Men’s league plays on Monday and the Ladies’ League play on Wednesday.

The FVGC Board, also, establishes general rules, local playing rules, enforcement of rules, course etiquette, course care, tee time reservation system and a dress code.
