Fairway Village Men's Golf

The Fairway Village Men’s League Winter Season scheduled handicapped play begins the first Monday in November and ends on March 30th.  Play starts at 8:00 a.m.  Current dues for League play are $13.00 per season.  Membership dues must be paid by the mid-week prior to be eligible for scheduled play the following week. $1.00 of your current dues goes to the hole-in-one fund in our League for distribution at our Banquet and Annual Meeting held at the end of Winter League play the end of March.  At the age of 85 active members become Honorary Members and the yearly dues are waived except for the $1.00 hole-in-one fee so they can be eligible to participate in the pool money at the end of the Winter Season.

Handicaps are changed weekly.  New members must play five games (with a member) to establish a handicap.  The handicap establishes the Flight players are in.  A Flight—5 and under handicap, B Flight—6 to 9 handicap, C Flight –10 and over handicap.  Golf members may enter the weekly pool in their Flight for $1.00.

Each month on the second Monday of the season, a Fun Day is arranged for all the members with the prize money provided by the League.  A golf ball is awarded weekly to the Low Net in each Flight as well as Closest to the Pin on #1 and Longest Putt on #9.

The Men’s League Officers are elected each year in March for a 2 year term.  Two new Officers are elected in the even years and three Officers in the odd years.

The Men’s League General Meeting is held in the Club House in November and our Annual Meeting is held at our Banquet at the end of the Winter Season on March 30th for 2011/2012 when our prizes are awarded for Low Gross and Low Net in each Flight.

Men wishing to play after the end of March must sign up on the Men’s Bulletin Board each week for Monday play during the Summer Season.
